mmm-v2 + epoxy ? - 11.09.2008, 12:35 PM

I've copletly incased my old mm esc in epoxy glue (the circutboars ! ) And ran it last winter in snow and mudd no problems :) My question i s if i can do this to the mmm v2 esc ? It scould be even more waterproof than the mm that has a built in usb-port that can't be covered with glue. on the mmm you coud make like "ice cube" of epoxy around the circut boards and 2mm on the plugs and heatsink lover edges to prevent shorts.

If you concider $140-180 cheap, then you need to give some of that $$$ to me...

I would suggest just using some plasti-dip around the connections, and a simple plastic screen over the esc when its installed; that will prevent moisture from entering the esc, and still allow airflow (the MMM barely gets warm with zero airflow, so that shoudlnt be an issue in winter when ambient temps are low anyway).
