Slash+mm7700

I was just running my stock geared slash(18/86??) on 2s lipo 8000 with the mm + 5700 and the motor got toasty after about 20mins, and its like 50 degrees outside. Just figured i throw out some useful info, i really wanna get a velineon 3500 or mm4600 with 3s lipo, but the speed of the 2s setup is plenty for offroad. let me know how your setup is, im curious.
