Riceman,

I just did a test run at the backyard track (big for a backyard) with the Medusa 50mm x 3300 on 3S and my e-crt.5 was a wheely machine at anything more than 1/2 throttle. I even pulled a backflip on our 20' long by 6' up step up. My truck was a full 6' over the top of the landing and jumped at least 6 ft past the landing.

I'm running the Rhino (zippy) 3S 4000 25C batts. They seem to have huge punch. Your 3300 on 3S did not look nearly as wheely happy. What MM settings are you running? What about diff setup? The lipo I run is about 335gm, and I run it all the way forward on the RCM chassis and even have the MM mounted on the steering servo to further get weight forward. I even increased the anti-squat to 3 degrees to cut down on rearward weight transfer. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Scott

Metalman - The track is ARC in Temecula. Not too far from you. Maybe we'll see you out there sometime?

Go-Ride - Not sure if I have any punch control in there or not. I'll have to hook up the Castle link and find out for sure. Diffs are 3K/3K/1K. What do you have in yours? Maybe up the center diff a bit.

I've been running 2/3/1 which worked great on our normally loose back yard track with my Novak GTB/6.5 and 2S. However, with the Medusa 3300 on 3S it was not working so well. I can still drive the car fast at partial throttle, but over 1/2 and it balloons & lifts the front wheels. I've got it set up at 2/5/1 for my next run which should be Sunday. I'm also going to tape the inside of the tires, but that takes time unglueing and reglueing the tires.
