I was wondering if this motor would be ok to use in my Savage? I will hopefully be running 4-6S lipo. Will it over kill? How about a 70mm motor or would it over heat? Thanks for the help!

The 70 should be ok in a stock savage, but if you plan to go heavier the 80mm is a must. I would go for the 80 either way. 1600 kv is a good 5-6s motor, a bit slow for 4s, IMO.

I'd go with the 1600 for 5s and something in the 1200-1500kv range for 6s.

1200kv is an 8s motor... 1600 will do both 5-6s but I prefer that kv for 6s...

My savage should be lighter than a stock Savage because I am going to use a diff instead of the tranny so I'll probially go with a 70mm. Would 2000 kv on 4s be able to get in the low 40's?

Ok, I just checked the top speed estimator and it said it would probialy go about 45mph! That should be fast enough for me. I hope to get rid of the old nitro engine if any one's interested also.

I'm not sure yet right now I have a MM. I'd like to get a MMM when castle gets all the kinks worked out. If I run 4s it will be 8000mah. Would 5s 2p A123 work on a MM? If so I would use that. I'm just figuring every thing out right now.
