Interesting RC8 conversion. - 11.17.2008, 04:05 PM

Does anyone know this guy? It would be really fun to some high res images of his conversion! The esc mounting and losi raiotray is really interesting i think!

Hehe well for starters its not a Losi 8 but an RC8 and if you would have listened to the clip you would have heard that he mounted the esc to a aluminum piece that he mounted to the chassis for better cooling. New to me atleats, never seen a esc mounted in that position at all really?

Also he customized the losi radio tray to fit an RC8, also new too me....

Edit:
Maybe I put this in the wrong forum? Please move to the buggy forum if more appropriate...

He just mounted the ESC behind the motor to loose weight, and not having to extend the motor wires, so everything is nice and clean. The losi radio box idea is cool, but its just bolted on

Nice clean conversion though!

He said in the clip that he cut out the bottom of the esc and mounted it to an aluminum peice that was bolted to the chassis for better heat dispersion.

How do you know that the losi radio box is bolted on? He said he had to customize it?

Some pics would still be nice.

You can find him or his friend in rctech.net. There's a long 1/8 scale brushless discussion there and that's where I saw that video. You can also send an e-mail through youtube to get more info.
