Impressive. I'm going to build a light maxx with plettenbergs custom chassis on phaltlines for speed. I like the maxx tires cut like that, but what a PITA to do. bowties on dishes would lighten it more.

I agree I ram my maxx in 2wd for a while. Here's a video if anyone is interested.

Yeah, but I was broke when I built it. Couldn't afford the wheels. So I just cut and smoothed these. I also shaved the insides of the wheels to lose even more weight. I went as far as cutting the driveshafts down to lighten the rotating mass. This was an unbelievably light truck. I used 3.3 driveshafts and 3906 axle carriers. This saved weight after I modified the carriers and it also let me use only one bearing per wheel. The tranny got all the lightweight stuff and there was no metal anywhere on it. It was the most durable truck I have ever owned. I thought I would build a V-Twin along the same lines as the single VXL truck and it was a nightmare. Way too fast, way too light and way too fragile. I twisted the light weight output shaft into a pretzel in no time. The 3.3 shafts break every run and the truck can't handle the speed so it breaks every time I ring it out. Here is a video.

And this is my favorite..

The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

Nice videos man. I miss having a maxx. I want to purchase a roller once I'm done with my rustler.

It is an XL2400; the rear driveshafts where replaced with two UE shafts. They turned into pretzels quicker than expected..
