I had the same problem trying to put a Maxamps 4s pack in my Slash. The wire exits right where the tray sides are. The only options are to dremel out a notch, mount the batteries on edge, or get a tray wide enough to route the wires and just use foam padding to fill the gap. Dremeling out a notch might be the easiest but might also weaken the tray walls.
