Losi stuffed up, I remember reading about it on Horizon or somewhere. It is actually a 670 motor meaning it is 67mm long

thanks for the pics.

if 670 sized motor means 67mm long then should a 550 size be 55mm long? cuz i know the 550 motors are longer than that. my 1515 Neu is right about 66-67mm long if i recall.

the Castle Neu's are 2650kv = 67mm long and 2200kv = 75mm long (the "bad boy" according to castle)

and on the Losi box in the pics posted it says 670 motor but in almost all the adds i have seen it says a 720 motor. so is the 720 size referring to the 1300kv and that it is 72mm long? and the 670 is the 2100kv, right?

regardless, i guess my main question was answered and that was are the losi motors basically the same size as any other 1/8 motor. it looks like it. calling it a 670 or a 720 made it sound huge when everything else i have seen is called a 550.

I have the 1300 kv motor on 5s 6000 polyquest in my 8ight-T. Geared 16/50, very nice motor, no cogging with lowest motor timing using a V2 MMM. Great speed and punch. So far I've timed the last two runs, got 30 minutes first time, 31 second, this is on a track in race conditions. Low low temps, warmish maybe. Going to try 15/45 and see how it runs.

Who knows, maybe these are just as good as the Neus. It's not rocket science to copy off another design that works. Castle and Tekno did it. The only question is build quality.

I was really interested in these motors. I'd take an xcelorin 2100kv over a ccn 1515 1y. Just to be different.
