Wow, that's a lot of bad experiences. I'm glad I got my Hyperion before B-P-P went sour. Try to get your money back and hand it over to Mike's capable hands and you'll get your product.
All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Here is what I think happened. Troy was selling some of the products way bellow what everybody else was selling at. So when everyone went running to him, he was basically setting everybody up for this so he could've gotten all the $$$ and ran. This is a criminal act no matter how you look at it. I hope the new owner will straighten this out so he doesn't get in trouble with the law as you all could file a complaint with the company and not Troy. The new owner should've done his homework before diving in like that. I might be wrong, but I've seen it happen a few times and good people got it up their . If they want to save their butts, they better go after Troy ASAP to clear this huge mess up.

Firstly apologies Mike - This is your forum and not the place to air all of this... Feel free to clean up anything...
Lutach - I think this is unfair and inflamatory - Paralyzed has been in contact with Troy and the new owners.
Yes he sold kit cheap but about the same level that Mike and others have been able to sell.
From what has been said and we all know he used to provide excellent prices and service for at least 1 year until mid summer and then it all went wrong.
It has been reported that he had an accident / illness that meant he was unable to continue the business and we know what has happened.
I agree this it is a mess and one that I'm sure no one (including Troy) wanted...
The correct action is:
1) If you paid by CC contact your CC company
2) If you paid by PP try to claim via them
3) Post your details on Paralyzed thread and hopefully he can get something sorted out

I wasnt so lucky and he still has my money.
OK, lets say he DID have an accident.. I would hazard a guess and say he has about 100,000USD of money from pre-orders for MMM's, and basically 5 months of unsent orders..also BPP is an International online business so the amount would probably be more than this.
Where is this money now? Remember, as this was an online business, there are minimal overheads.
EDIT : Also, no one has 5 month accidents. If he knew he was in strife, why would he continue to trade and then all of a sudden empty his paypal account and then close it?. Something doesn't sound right.

I remember when he was selling at prices nobody was able to touch. So basically he got all the $$$ and then just gave everybody excuses to buy him the days needed to avoid the Paypal claim rule. I've seen this happen a lot Arct1k. People can't claim what Paypal can't get a hold of and Troy was smart about that. I've also seen my share of people getting burned from this through Ebay (I was one that got burned from such things in the same manner as everyone stated about Troy). If the new owners can't honor anything from a certain date, then that will go over to the other site Troy has put up which is basically a new company if indeed it is a company. I don't feel sorry for guys like that who basically took a lot of business away from Mike. I know a few people here and in Brasil as well who bought the Mamba Max and Mamba Monster from Troy because he was showing the best price. This is my opinion and everyone will have theirs, but I will not back out of it. I know people have even contacted Castle about this and Castle can't do anything because they didn't sell the product direct.

I totally agree with Lutach on this. I got burned from Troy too. He kept fobbing me off with excuses for several weeks. Then he kept LYING yes Lying that he shipped the items for weeks. Finally when I demanded a tracking number he kept sending automated messages saying his email server had problems. I am sure everybody received the automated email bouncing message. My gripe is that he acted dishonestly for weeks. Why lie to me that the item was shipped when he hadn't even bothered to order / ship. If he suffered an accident he should have made that clear instead of misleading me by telling me BS. Anybody who lies to me and fobs me off is dishonest in my book. Why are people defending somebody who acted in this manner to customers? Getting your money bac is not that easy as paypal investigates the claim and then finds it in your favour and then say he has no funds in his account to return. Not everybody pays paypal payments with a credit card. I pay most of my payments via my bank account. I have no recourse in these situations as checking account funded transactions are not covered by money back guarantees.

If thats the case then he would have had to make quite a personal investment in time and money to get the good reputation he had built. Criminals are in and out, and only an idiot would think they could get away with this. Many people have talked on the phone with him, if he was going to run away he left quite a trail. It's a simple thing to send an e-mail off to fbi's internet crime department but I don't think that's necassary yet. Whatever happens, I'll let everyone know.

I'll be watching, but from what it looks like he was doing, was basically setting everyone up for a fabulous catch. There was a thread somewhere questioning the fact that why was he underselling everyone? If he was in any trouble being physically or mentally, why not say it from the get go. If he was in a accident, why not put it on the website letting people know what happened. All the facts are pointing towards him scamming good people of their hard earned cash. Here is a good example of how to tell your clients what is going on: http://2wheelhobbies.com/index.php?o...ffc735670f53bc.
I know you're trying to make good here and I give you my complete respect. Now if Troy gives everyone their money back or ships out the products, then I take every single thing I typed here back.

Your right, it could go either way. I'm determined to see this to the end. It will either be a lesson learned or proof their is some humanity left in the world. Good thing we got r/c to distract us.

I am closing this thread - no need for 2 threads regarding the same thing. I will throw in my 5 cents, though:
It is unfortunate that some folks have apparently been shafted by this situation, and I too have been "shafted" when BPP sold below MAP. No doubt many of these "problem" sales replaced my own sales. That is business, unfortunately. It is unfortunate that this situation has come to be, but I admittedly have only limited remorse for the folks that come here for the information and discussion, and then go elsewhere to buy - and sometimes even post here that they bought elsewhere. Yep, the situation sucks, but I have lost plenty of money indirectly over the years by these very happenings. So you thought you saved a couple dollars and eventually it comes back to bite you. I guess it sucks for all of us - sucks for the guys that chose to buy elsewhere to save a buck and got screwed, and it sucks that I was not able to capture those very sales and deliver as promised, and as I always try to do. Glad I got that off my chest - it has been bothering me for a while. I will get off my horse now. This thread is closed. :)

I was wondering when you were going to chime in about this...
