here's a pic. I only just got the muggy this week, so I have no idea if it works. I've taken the brake servo and brakes out again now. Decided I'm gonna run engine brakes.

IMO, I would put the receiver on top of the diff & coil the wires.

That looks very good! Already ran it?

Any idea what speeds you get on 5S? How does the motor run, cool, hot?

I have a 6s battery, it's only about 30 degrees outside now, and the motor is staying really cool, like it's not going beyond 130 degrees, all the work castle put into it has really paid off, and I have a 14 tooth pinion and a 48 tooth spur gear. and it's really fast, around 50mph maybe 60mph i kind of doubt 60mph but it's probably a little more than 50mph.

MOZZY- How do I coil wires? do you have any suggestions for how to mount the receiver there?

Heavy duty velcro, and just bundle up the wires, or wrap them around a pencil to form them into a coil.

Depends when you ordered it exactly- from the old owner or after the new owners took over the BPP website...

I coil them tightly around a 3mm hex driver shaft. I generally apply very firm pressure & use friction heat by rolling my fingers around the wire & shaft to tighten the coils.

It works very well.

As for the mounting of the receiver, I'd use a piece of lexan double sided taped to the top plate & tape the receiver to that & then use a thin cable tie around just to be sure.

This was taken with my friends ESC, which has now gone back to him. I'm still waiting on my 6 MM's to arrive as the last lot they sent went missing somewhere. Not happy about that, but, thieves are everywhere!!

Here's the e-mail I got from him:

Derek:

Below is the email I am sending to any customers who didn't receive their order from Troy (the old owner) and I suggest you go through this process and let me know what, if any, problems you run into following this route. I have NO access to any of the old order information or any shipment information but I want to do everything I can to help customers with old orders resolve their issues.

First off, let me say that I am sorry that you had trouble with Bishop Power Products while Troy was the owner.

Your order was placed with Troy the former owner of Bishop Power Products. Troy had some very difficult times in his personal life with serious health issues and became overwhelmed, so I agreed to buy the business from him. That agreement included having Troy take care of any and all orders placed prior to the business purchase date of November 20th, 2008 because he operated the business as a sole proprietorship. Because of this fact, we were only able to purchase the name and the website and NOT the merchant accounts, bank accounts or the Paypal account because they are tied to Troy's personal information. Since all of those accounts are in Troy's name, we have NO way to determine who has paid, who hasn't paid, who has done a charge back on their credit card or started a Paypal dispute. Also, we have no way to tell which orders have been shipped which orders haven't been shipped. Therefore basically anyone could claim they never got their package and I would have no way to tell if they were telling the truth or not. With all that being said, I don't want anyone to feel like they got screwed and I have come up with a few options to help keep our customers happy.

1. If your order was paid for by credit card within the last six months (some cards allow up to one year), then you can simply call your credit card company and open a chargeback dispute. This will instantly credit you the purchase price of your order and you will get your money back. Now that you have your money back, you can either trust the new Bishop Power Products will send your order and you can place your order again or you can simply take your money back and that will be the end of it. As an added incentive to re-place your order with us, we would like to offer you a 15% off coupon that can be used as many times as you would like from now until May 20th 2008 (6 months after we purchased the Bishop Power Products website). Just enter the coupon code BPP15 during checkout.
2. If your order was paid for by Paypal within the last 45 days, then you can simply open a dispute with Paypal.
3. If your situation doesn't meet any of the above options, please contact me and I will do the absolute best I can in order to make you whole again in order to keep your business and help Bishop Power Products move forward into the future.

Trust me when I tell you that I am not thrilled with these options either but since we (the new owners of BPP) don't have access to any of the previous merchant account information nor any of the previous order's shipment information I feel it is the best course of action. What I can promise you is that I have been running another business for years and we have the best customer service in our industry and I plan on continuing that in this business.

I am open to other ideas as well so if you have any, please feel free to email them to me.

Some of the customer service improvements you will see under the new management are:

1. Same day shipping on all orders placed by 2 pm Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
2. Email responses within 24 hours, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
3. Shipment notification email including tracking number, if available.
4. Real Time inventory on the website starting sometime during the week of December 1st so our customers will be able to see if an item is on hand prior to ordering it.

Please be respectful in your communications with us and understand that we are not Troy and while venting may make you feel better, it simply will not help solve the situation. We are doing everything we can to build your faith in the new Bishop Power Products ownership and this is only our first step in our efforts to regain your trust in us as your Radio Control products supplier.

Sincerely,

Dave
Bishop Power Products
