Just moved to Las Vegas....anybody run out here?? - 12.17.2008, 02:39 AM

Just looking to see if anyone is my neck of the woods (sand), I just moved to North Las Vegas and plan to put together a BL 8ight buggy project and also just bought a crt .5 with MM today. Going to be running somewhere and am looking for some good spots.

There's a off road and on road track right next to several soccer fields, can't remember the name of it. It hosted the 2006 roar offroad nats, if that helps. I was only there for a soccer tournament so I'm really not familiar with the area, sorry. It was about 10-20 min from the strip.

There are a few of us up the freeway from you in St. George. I'm down there pretty often and do a lot of my RC shopping down there, but I don't know of any bash spots. I used to run the track across Nellis from the old Dansey's location, but I heard they closed down. There is ,of course, the Silverbowl. I also read about one guy with a sizable lot having a track with events in his back yard. Search on RCZ about that one. When I finally get the bash together up here at the BMX track, you'll have to come up.

Yea went by danseys today....for all I heard about them I was less then impressed and there track is def gone now. The feild and the guy with a track in his back yard are pretty much all thats out here, thats my census thus far.

Once I get my rigs up and going if your interested in meeting up somewhere LMK whats up.

My wife is from Utah and her family has one of there stone source business's there in St George. We cruise through every once and a while to visit.

I cant believe it but it snowed all day here today in NORTH las vegas. Unbelievable.

The snow is crazy. Dansey's is good guys, but I'm also less than impressed every time I step in. It's worse now that they're in their new location.

Ya, we'll have to meet up on one of your trips up here. What are you running? I like to go to the Virgin BMX track with the monsters or even the skate park. There's also now a lame little track here if you're running smaller scale.

where is this BMX track in George? i am further north in UT but have friends down there. the two tracks up here suck IMO. my dream is to build a pro-scale track here in the next 2-3 years. anyway, if either of you make up a trip up north be sure to pm me so we can go bash. i have hooked up with other RCM members and we went and shredded up Hobble Creek Golf course. great fun.

Definitely! I don't make it north often, but when I do! I also plan to have a race day at Intermountain soon.

The BMX track is in Virgin. Quite a nice track.

There are 3 or 4 members on this board down in my little neck of the woods.

Very cool guys. I will keep you posted for sure. We are actually driving to Salt Lake for Christmas, but I am afraid my rigs wont be ready in time. It wont be to long before another so we will come through very soon.

Have a great Holiday guys.
