I use to have problem with the yokes on them. Not really the shafts themselves. Traxxas did make some impovements with the VLX yokes. Once I went brushless in the XL5's I got tires of breaking them all time. I even tried the steel 20.00 yokes traxxas sales for them. The pins kept coming out of them.
On the other side of the fence I went and bought the steel cvd for the e revo mainly cuz had some money burning a hole in my pocket. I like the looks of them also. Didn't take long before I bent a shaft. It was something like 10.00 for the steel shaft. Shortly after that I snapped the stub axle on one. Then another. I haven't replaced them yet been running steel cvds on the left side and stockers on the right. Eventually I'll pay the 15 for the two stubs, but the stock 3.3 shaft are strong and cheap to replace on ebay.

What happended to the Hot Racing ones. Where'd they break on you?
