Novak HV 5412 heatsink on 8XL - 12.18.2008, 06:49 PM

Anyone running or tried to put this heatsink on a Fiago 8XL. Looks like it should fit but would like to hear a testimonial before buying.

If thats the normal hvmaxx motor heatsink, then yeah, it'll fit- just (tight fitting by design). The only (big) problem is that it wont do diddly-squat to stop the endbells from popping off. My advice is to use an rcm motor heatsink/clamp to lower temps a little and hold the motor together better.

Yep, I'm running it. Did wonders for temps on my motor. It is a tight fit, but I used some plyers to open it while I slid the motor through.

Ran it on mine and it did help but in the end the feigao still had a meltdown! 8XL in an E-REVO geared for 40 was to much for it. I will never own another! For the price of a Feigao and RC-M clamp you can buy a Medusa and for a few bucks more you should be able to buy a CC/Neu once they're available seperately.
