External BEC = less strain on the built in linear BEC (read: less heat).

Anyway, there are loads of aftermarket parts for the WK, you just have to know where to look:

thnx!!! ya, thats not a real WK, and I could smoke that record... I'm a tad concerned wiyh gearing tho, wha pinion/spur should I get??

Gearing will depend on voltage and motor kv choice, and the topspeed you want to achieve (a specific goal is better than just 'fast!'). That said, I dunno the tranny or diff ratios in the WK, so I couldnt help if I wanted to really :P

Wrong person to ask really, I prefer big monster trucks

If you use a Castle Creations system, the 4600kv motor on 3s lipo should be more than plenty, or just the MM esc and a medusa 50mm motor in something like ~3000kv flavour should provide more grunt thahn you'll ever need or be able to use/control. I'd look into the HPI touring car WK and see what did exactly, there should be lots more info floating around the forum if you dig hard enough.
