G3 driveshaft question - 12.30.2008, 11:51 PM

Hi Boys.
Quick question.
I have a G3 E-MAxx chassis coming from an Ebay seller. Apparently the chassis was used on a show truck and remains perfect, so it seems like a good deal.
Anyhoo, the auction included everything except the centre driveshaft. I asked the seller about it and got some waffle back saying he never had one etc etc. I think that actually he forgot it was 'different' and either lost it or sold it with his other driveshafts.

No biggy.

What length is this missing driveshaft? I heard a rumour that a Rear Revo Centre CVD will be a perfect fit [?]

Being in Canada, I'd prefer to grab something that would work locally, shipping from the States can take ages !!

Thanks for any help/ideas.

Marcus

Hey Marcus..
I used two rear drivelines off a 3905 and cut them to fit. They worked great and they were like $12.00.. Can’t go wrong... I've some close-up shoots of my installation in this thread..

Thanks Shaun !

I have my doubts that traxxas shafts will stand up to a Neu-1Y being force fed a 6S Lipo though.

They'll definately fill the hole until I get something more manly though, thanks again :-)

Yea I know it Neil. As I said in the 1st post, shipping between the States and the 'outside world' varies between sluggish and horrendous. You being in Blighty will know that lol

I'll probably get one from them eventually but for now I'm just trying to pin down my options. I have some Revo Centre CVDs sitting here so I'll try them first.

Hmm, they've always shipped pretty quickly when I order from them- 14 days is about the longest you'd ever have to wait given normal shipping methods.

It's not a Seller thing, it's not even a USPS thing, it's all Canadian customs.
They make the average shovel-leaning-British-Council-Worker look positively pro-active ! LOL
