losi esc neu combo....? - 01.07.2009, 01:03 AM

My mamba monster went bye bye its in for repair. I got the losi ESC it seems to be built better than the Mamba. But my problem.....

When I apply the brakes it makes a popping sound and the motor stops instantly! I mean instantly where i feel it would damage the motor.

I have it set to only 10% brakes w/no reverse
checked the diffs, no stripping found, not even wear.

Are these compatible? The Neu 1515/1Y Mamba combo were great but the Mamba Esc Died on only 4s 25C 15T

Go to the Team Losi Website and under the Xcelorin downloads page, you will find the latest update to the firmware.

It specifically addresses over-aggressive brake issues.

Good luck!

I downloaded the new firmware and still the same problem I think I'm just going to have to let the shop handle it. Why is there no Losi thread on this site? They are now a big player in the electric 8th scale market

Since I have nothing appropriate to say, I won't say anything at all...

Sorry about that guys. The offending post has been fixed.

It's fine to get a little "racey" from time to time (yeah, I'm talking to you linc), but there is a line and that post crossed it by far.
