CRT.5 with Slash body?? - 01.15.2009, 11:23 AM

Has anyone tried to put a Slash body on a CRT.5? Could I run it and run 1/10 buggy tires and have a slash look alike?

I don't think the CRT.5 is long/wide enough to look right. An 8th scale buggy's wheelbase is typically perfect and that's larger than a CRT.5...

I am on the border line of whether I want to keep it or sell it.. so If I make it look like something I haven't played with I will be all excited to wreck it again..

Why do you want to sell it?

I only ask because I was thinking of selling mine because of a number of "issues" with it. No one was interested, so I ended up redesigning it instead. Now that all the issues are addressed in the rebuild, I'm glad I didn't sell it.

Last time I drove it around the track.. it just seemed heavy and like it was getting beat to death when you compared to a a normal stadium truck.. the stadium trucks just seemed to roll and launch.. which they are a lot lighter..

Is mikes new chassis longer than the original chassis? I thought about rebuilding mine as well and putting the new suspension kit on it..

What all did you do to yours?

I also thought about getting a different motor like a medusa.. I have a fieago now I think its a 7l

I've heard good things about Mike's chassis, but if I'm gonna replace the chassis and arms, I might as well get a different truck.

This is what I did when I rebuilt it: http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...&postcount=415
