They're half beadlocks, where the outer bead is locked, but the inner bead is glued. The only downfall of this truck IMO.

Thanks guys the motor was moved .100 to the passanger side so that the battery would fit properly.

Hey Chip, I like most of the work, looks a bit heavy but I am sure it will be sturdy. You may have to beef up your display shelf a bit...

Anyways, If you plan to run the truck, cut that hoop off that closely matches the spur gear. If you get a rock caught in there I can pretty much gaurantee that the esc will cook from over current as the motor instantly locks up. That happened to me with a buggy I had with a metal spur on it, and I have always run plastic spurs since. Cheaper to replace a 5 dollar spur than a 150 dollar esc.

It is suprisingly lite for the total set up which I like a lot, when you add the battery it gets heavy but what do you expect. I really didn't care for the spur cover that was a miscommunication.
