Should have changed that... I wrote the first part after 5 minutes of browsing then did another 10 minutes... When you bring up the part about language, I think that is part of it, but it seems like most of it would be the 11 year olds that don't think before you post. They also cry and report you when you tell them their they're wrong.
Sorry if you don't like the bashing of the traxxas forums, but there are a lot of people here that do it. It's just that IMO half the thread are noobs saying "Will the stock revo tires work no on a Maxx?

Thats why I came up with this

2) Chargers for your lipos.Lipos require a balancing charger. For people on a budget these work good. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...r_&_discharger They require the power supply linked on the page to power it.Also If you have more money I would look at the Hyperion duo http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...10DV2&cat=19or the Cellpro http://www.fmadirect.com/new_applica...0s_charger.htm There are many kinds of balance taps on lipos, verify that the batteries and charger matches,or you will have to get an adapter. http://www.maxamps.com/categories.php?cat=173 You should store and charge your lipos in a fireproof area,as they can be a fire hazard if something goes wrong.
3)Gearing. Stock on 4s the E-revo will go 35mph with 18/65.You can change these to increase or lower speed as your experience improves.I would suggest not changing it till you have some wheel time. But to go faster you make the bigger # smaller, add a smaller spur gear.Or increase the smaller #,add a bigger pinion. But doing this will increase heat and amp draw on the batteries. You should have a temp gun before you start messing with gearing. link to a Gear chart using stock tires http://pic20.picturetrail.com:80/VOL.../352097972.jpg
4) suspension. The springs are set soft from the factory. You can install the included stiffer springs to help this. The blue is recommended on the back and the silver on the front.I wouldn't get into very much more until you understand how the suspension works,it's a complicated system, and can make the truck handle bad if you get it wrong.
5)MMM . Before running your vehicle with lipos you will want to setup your esc for the lipo cutoff. This can be done by following the instructions included.Or you can get a Castle link. http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...stle_link.html This allows for greater adjustment of the esc using a computer.
6)If by reading this you learned anything,You are totally unworthy to have such a vehicle.A couple years ago a vehicle of this quality would have costed 1000's of dollars, and you had to be knowledgable to build one.Because of the veterans of this hobby ,who did conversions ,and yelled, kicked ,and screamed loud enough the manufacturers heard them,we have these available. We owe them all the thanks.Problem is,they won't stoop to reading this. Keep a sense of humor about this. Thanks Hoov for the gear chart, and Suicideneil is god,he wrote the real faq,may he R.I.P. Also ,if you made it this far and are thirsting for real info ,this will be more then your fragile little mind can handle. http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=430233

My dad taught me,if your gonna say something bad about someone, say it to their face, that way there's no doubt later what was said.I often call people out,and even did to 69malibu in that thread. Also called brushlessman that he didn;t know how to set a spur, for stripping the 32p

Some idiots like this moron actually go backwards. This monkey brags about brain damage he got after some kind of car wreck. Someone needs to go relieve this idiot's vehicles from his moronic driving. Also the God awful ugly shells he throws on them.
The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

that is why they are at the traxxas forums and not ours. if i was 11 years old i am sure i would be asking the same stupid questions.
when you went into RC did you know everything you do now? how did you learn? probably by doing the same thing that they did.
not everyone knows how to use the search button and that is the main problem with forums... so many redundant threads.
im not hating on you... just saying that theres no need to bash the kids when most people went through the same stage when they first started RC
all the bad talking about traxxas is getting old to me.

I don't think 69mailbu has anything to do with the TRX forums or TRX vehicles. He is a moron and will be regardless of the TRX forums. Bashing on the forums there is a silly waste of time at best. Pointing out a guy who has no respect for anything and acts like a total idiot is another thing. Didn't he even try to come on the RCM forums under a different name and start crap?
I never did have respect for anyone who tears up their property regardless of the fact if they paid for it themselves or not.

Darwinian theory at its best. The smart come here and survive, the dumb(uninformed) come here and are quickly chewed up and spit out. Asheck has the right attitude (IMO) and his postings have made me take a look at how I behave on different forums. Idiots are everywhere, if we are better than them then we shouldn't talk smack or get angry over their actions. I don't feel I'm better than anybody, I know I'm more intelligent than 95% of my fellow minnesotans, but I'm a fat crippled guy so they win. "Let it be"- John Lennon

Pah, as the intellectual supperior on 'that forum', I feel it my duty to lambast and flame the idiots, pointing where they are going wrong so that they are better prepared for the journey ahead. In the real world, idiots like that rarely survive for very long- its only the state or their parents that keep them going.

I think you guys hit the nail on the head regarding the Traxxas Forums. And, before I get flamed, yes I am still a regular there, I just stopped posting so much. I really can't take any more threads on:
"What batteries fit in the E-Revo?"
"Will the MMM/2200Kv Motor work in my Revo conversion?"
"Will this work?"
"How do I solder?"
"Is the MMM any good?"
"What kind of LVC do I need to run LiPos in my ______?
You get the idea. I just can't take it more. Every once and while I find nuggets of information there. But not like I used to. Ashek posted a sweet Revo conversion that I used. SuicideNeil talked about the MM/7XL combo and how to set it up for 4s.
Come to think of it, between the two of them, they gave me a good base of RC knowledge. I did have the audacity to actually read the FAQ!!
At least that way, when I asked a question I didn't sound like a total idiot. And for God's sake, learn to use the search feature!!! I don't even want to complain about it any more, you get the idea though. We've all been there.

He has successfully integrated himself into urc as sslwolfman.... He and I have butted heads more than once. I slowed down my visits to the trx forums do to him, then all but stopped when the banned Neil. I still browse from time to time, but for the life of me do not know why, i do not own a single trx car anymore.
Ad yes the trx forum is full of idiots and to blame for my arrival here I read one of those posts about see rc-m.... So I did... and now y'all (go go dumb misspelling and hickism) are stuck with me until Mike bans me!
