Yeah, the brace is to reduce chassis flex. In my buggy, I noticed the chassis begins to resemble a taco after a while, and this helps tremendously. I've done this in my
Ultra GTP and
MBX5/CORR conversions and it helps a lot. I don't plan on installing anything on this project, but I put the ESC on there in my GTP and MBX5.
Some may argue that the chassis is
supposed to flex and helps traction, but I'm more of a basher/informal racer, so that level of detail is wasted on me.
