I looked on tower - the pro-line 40 series beadlocks dont look so hot. i couldnt figure out which of the axial beadlocks were the right size as they look like they are for crawlers.

At what speeds are the Talons ejecting? Can I get to 55-60 mph without an issue? Just spinning them up 3/4 throttle I can see this may be an issue. scale wise I gotta beleive 60mph is well over 200mph in full scale, can one expect the same devistation with 1/8th scale as throwing a tire on a full scale at 200+ wondering if that made any sense at all

The talons don't "eject", they come unglued and throw the truck out of control!

they constantly came unglued with 4S and at 6s the tire exploded off the rim. they are really poorly made and poorly glued. i dont understand how they are putting these on the ERBE.

if you want to go 50 or more your going to need a different setup. beadlocks hold for me. other have made glue ons work as well.

Read this thread and it should help you with your problem. It will really help with wheel/tire setup. If you are racing it would really help to balance your wheels once you put them together. Good luck with that.

Did you lose control? I can only imagine a pavment roll over doing 60+ . I had 7" Mahems on mine at 50mph and no issue, but these Talons are such a soft thin rubber, only stretch so far then....

Mine came unglued first. So I put some gorilla super glue on it, so the next give point was the rubber ripping around the edges. It was cool to see, I just hated having to buy another set of tires

I realize this thread is a bit stale but its the closest to one of my questions.

I was wondering if anyone knows of Alu wheels for the E-revo or if any actually metal wheels would work for the e-revo, since i still have stock ones and they wheels are getting pretty close to the breaking point, one has a crack that keeps widening the width of the wheel, another has a crater int middle of it from a rock getting lodged in between the a-arm and the wheel.

Also is there any better way to secure the tires to the wheels then CA glue or beadlock?

The Talons are getting pretty wore out also and most everyone suggests Badlads?

Finally anyone know of any bearings that are better then the traxxas ones just replaced the 2 rear ones, since the old ones had seized up.

If you read through this entired thread you might get a better understanding of your quest. You will get a variety of opinions when it comes to tires/wheels, & bearings for the best use. As far as I know you can either glue your tires or use beadlocks. As for tires badlands seem to be one of the better favorites along with faultlines. As for bearings try going on line to vxb bearings and look through their selection. vxb supplies a lot of the R/C suppliers with the bearing that they sell to us. If you think about the type of punishment we give our vehicles and you do some checking on your truck or buggy you can see that the issues are dirt, water, and heat. Using rubber or plastic sealed bearings protect from the water and dirt, but the heat will warp the plastic and rubber and speed up failure rates. I prefer to use metal sealed bearings because they will last longer. You can alos use ceramic bearings for better wear rates, but unless you are racing they can be very costly. Good luck with your choices.

so badlands on beadlocks work well for bashing and will last forever however i dont like them at all for racing.
i am currently using panther pythons on the stock revo white wheel and that seems to give me the best racing performance.
Aluminum wheels look cool but are heavy and you want less unsprung weight not more.
