I tried the truck out in 1st gear to diagnose, and found nothing, but in second the truck runs fine until the top shaft jumps out.. this leads me to beleive that the 1st gear roll pin came out..
What do you guys think.
Can i tell you that it is a PITA to get the trans out of an emax..

Sounds like the input shaft roll pin. Use a piece of an allen head wrench or a steel drill bit cut down to fit. That with steel idlers and your tranny should be rock solid.

Nice to see the 8XL is back to destroying maxx trannies :)
It did even kill an allen wrench fix once. Then I drilled out the hole a bit and used a bigger pin. G/L

Hell, the diff will go out in any car if you put it on carpet and "test the diff"
I would run it until it doesn't run no more. Then you know it's broke.

Glad to see my MM found a good new home! Also glad to know that it doesn't shut off and on with your setup like it always did in my Maxx.
BTW, do the tranny flip, lock it in 2nd, and mount the ESC in the back, its a much better layout IMO.

Search for its-me's thread about using a lst diff on your maxx bulkhead. I think that's the cheapest alternative.
Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion
Ofna CR with Tekin ESC/Motor (2)
