XT8 2009 spec - 03.06.2009, 05:09 PM

I havent built an rc for a while so I think I am gonna get the XT8 2009 spec soon as its avalable, and power it with a flightpower EON33 4550 6S pack, MMM and a Neu 1515 2.5D maybe with the heli fan, probably gear it around 46mph. I have not been around the rc scene for a while so I am wondering if that will be a good setup or if there is better stuff out there brushless system wise

Do you have the Neu! A 2.5D FH is balls out on 6s! LOL....

Should be fun! I'd skip the Heli version though...

If your just going to bash why buy such an expensive racing truggy? I'd look more towards a LSP or CRT or something. Not to say the XRAY is a bad truggy in the least. Just my .02 :)

The 6s on the MMM / Neu should be killer though.

I like the Xray, I have had a CRT, I just want to try something new. Are the Neu motors still the best avalable? The Tekin setup looks interesting but its kinda an unknown until it gets out there a little. I used to have a Neu 1515 2.5D on 5s in a CRT and it was not bad although it was setup kinda heavy with beadlocks and badlands. Do you recommend the Tekno RC Edition Neu 1515/2.5D/F Motor, or the regular Neu 1515 2.5D?

The Neu's are still top notch.

If I were you I would just go with the Castle MMM combo. Get teh 2200kv motor so you can run the 6s through it. They go for about $280-300 for the ESC and Motor. The motors are co-made by Neu so they are great quality. www.holmeshobbies.com has them for around $280 and he ships quick!

I just bought a Losi 8T roller from Nitrohouse for $329 and I am in the process of a similar setup, I had a 1515 2.5d and a Flightpower 6s 5000 pack laying around. So far I am really impressed with the truggy....its lighter and a lower CG than my 10s Revo

I have the XT8 on 6s with the Neu 1515 Heli version right now. It is silly awesome, but you need to know that the end bell is much bigger than the typical Neu 1515. In order to make it fit, you'll need to use Mike's XT8 chassis brace. It raises the center diff up a tiny bit and therefore allows the Heli version motor to be installed. For that reason, I would skip the Heli. Besides, you really don't need the fan when it's set up properly.

Good luck.

The Monster has them right HERE also $280 and by far the fastest shipping.

That is just the electric conversion chassis kit, you will still need the actual car itself to complete it (or at least most of it).
