Talking The poor man's shock stand - 03.14.2009, 04:38 PM

I wanted to rebuild my shocks and change the oil but did not have a shock stand. I did not want to wait to have one shipped and being to lazy to drive to the LHS I improvised. About 2 minutes later four 9/16 box head wrenches, one paint stirrer and one clamp I had the poor man's shock stand.

LOL.... I love Macgyver jobs. I use a shoebox with holes cut out of the lid.

There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.

I don't use any sort of shock stand. I don't know why anyone would buy one either... with all of people's stuff lying around anyone should be able to fine something that would work like you mkrusedc. Looking around right now I see water bottles, a peanut jar wit lid, and I'd see much more in my shop.
