yeah nice. but thats how it always was since the 8th scale buggys were converted years ago.

i have to say i like it very much that team tekin offers that many motor options in kv.

You will see when this system comes out....

The way this combo drove was amazing. Sensored 8th scale is whats up for racing! If you dont race it, you will never be able to take advantage of the combo

Looks like we are going to have Rx8 systems running at the Silver State race in Vegas. The big names will be running as well with over 40 entries so far. We are certainly not Amain drivers at an event of this level, but we will be there smiling and letting the system speak for itself. We are bringing 3 buggies and setting up a few for others.

Ty turns 21 that weekend so it should be all good in the fun department..... and believe me we deserve some

I'm very curious how you guys would compare Sensored to Sensorless in 1/8th applications. What would the racer notice as different? Also is there any efficiency difference in the two?

Sensored knows exactly where the rotor is and fire the correct coil, so no guess work and you get a smooth stutter free start up. With the new hybrid technology, you get both. At slow speeds or just on start ups you'll be in sensored mode, but then it just goes to sensorless which takes advantage of timing and maybe some other engineering things I'm not aware of. I think that sensored might offer a better efficiency because it reduces the starting power needed. I'm not sure how the RX8 will be, but I've noticed that sensored uses less start up AMPs then sensorless with some of the hybrid ESCs I have used. So the difference between the two is basically a sensored set up will always start your motor with no stuttering issues which could come handy for speed runs.

Lutah is on it. Sensored is a perfect start EVERY time. The added control in the air and having the consistency is so important during racing. I know when I squeeze the trigger or tap the brakes and get back on throttle that the motor will respond to my every command.

Thanks for the comments. I suppose I never really felt the startup issues with the Senseless stuff but since you mention brakes to throttle, one complaint I do have about my current setups is that it seems like when I brake, there is a pause, very slight but in racing every 10th counts, before the truck begins to move out again. Is this slight lag something I may not feel with the Sensored RX8?

That is exactly what I'm talking about. No delay, perfect everytime. When races are decided by tenths it does matter.
