Got a mamba monster..... - 03.17.2009, 01:08 PM

Quick question for you all. I got a good deal on a mega 22/30/1e. The truck is a converted 2.5 revo. Will this be a good combo? I have 4 and 6s lipo's and while I wait for my 6.5mm plugs I have the gearing 24/38 to start. I also have 14,18, and 20 to choose from for pinions and 36, 40 for spur gears.
Thanks guys!

Shaun

At 2800kv it would be a good motor to use on 4s. I would start with the 18t pinion and go from there. Keep a close eye on temps and gear up as you go.

Thanks bud. What motor would be good use then on 6s? I'm looking for a budget motor so to speak. Would my fiego 9xl be ok?
I always watch my temps.

You want something around 1600kv to work well. The 9xl is a bit high kv, IMO. I would go with a 70-80mm medusa for a budget motor, or a 1515 neu of around 1600kv (2d??).
