Yep, the equinox is only good for 5s. I like the hyperion lba10. What charger do you have?

Well an ICE can only do 4s lipo, so you can stick with the equinox. Have you done the high current mod to the equinox yet? It will allow you to charge at 5 amps thru it. Pretty easy, as you as you have a soldering iron and half a clue...

AWWWW!!! So that means I need another charger,I knew it. I MUST have something to charge a 6s pack,my configuration only allows me to fit a single pack. I had no clue about the high current mod but I'm interested. Do you have pics or a link to a tutorial??

Best bet would be to sell the ICE and the equinox and buy a hyperion 610i.

You can get around 80 bucks for the ICE and 25 for the equinox. I can give you some info to get the 610I for a really good price too. It can do up 6s and 250watts output so it is a powerful charger, and it has a built in balancer.

i have the 0606i and love it. can only do one batt at a time, but dc/ac power is great, never gets hot when using it either, and has lots of capabilities.

+1 for the 0606i

I've got one of the BC6s- great chargers for upto 6s lipo, but limited to 50watts output- it'll take you about 2 hours to charge a 6s ~5000mah lipo.

You may have fun finding the 610i as it has been replaced with the 720i. Various stores had really good deals on the 610i for the last few months, but they may be sold out. I bought 2 of them... Replaced my 2 ice chargers and the 2 mrc 989 chargers I had. I am almost all hyperion now, I have 5 total... Great chargers with tons of features and they are easy to use...

It is a good charger, but is limited to 50 watts output. So it can do 5 amps charge on 2-3s but after that the rate will drop. On 6s you may get 2.5 amps out of it, so a 2 hr charge time for a 5000 pack.

It is important to look at the output watts, divide them by the lipo voltage you plan to charge (6s = 4.2vx6= 25.2v) and you will get the amp capabilities. So the 610i at 250 watt output can charge a 6s pack up to 9.9amps. You would also need a good power supply to get that out of it.

At 12v imput you would need 21amps of power supply, figure in some losses, like 30% and you need something near 30amps worth of capability from your power supply. If you can push the voltage up to 15v, you can get away with less amp capability, but some PS will not let you adjust the voltage.

just checked and the 610i is out of stock most places, seems that it was selling for the same price as my 0606i, not a bad price at all. since i am going to be getting at least one 4cell pack in the near future, might have to look into getting a bigger charger as well. but 2.5 hours, and make sure its charged the night before, i will be fine with what i have for a while.
