converted revo, 80 or 150 HW??? - 03.24.2009, 08:58 PM

well since im going to be waiting a while for my mmm to get to cc i figured i pick up a hw esc to stick in. i was thinking the 80a since i have 4s batts but now mike has the 150 in stock.

im running a 8xl geared 20/38 with a 2 speed standard ratio tranny, and mgt 8.0 tires which are huge compared to standard talons.

im still thinking 80a that way i can get the program box and cc bullets for 100 bucks shipped. but i will be picking up a medusa 80mm 2200 kv motor soon. would this motor bee too much for the 80 amp. if so i will most likely get the 150 that way if the mmm failed again i could throw the hw in and run.

thanks for the help boys

i had run this truck on a mm for a while with the 8xl and it ran good for about 10 mintutes then esc was hot. but that was before the 2 speed. i think with the 2 speed the 80 would sufice even with the bigger motor...

I like to run bigger then necessary ESC's. Gives you a little more flexability.

thats also what i was thinking, but this isnt really a permenant thing either. its just a stand in till the mmm returns. when the mmm is back this might go in my crawler with a outrunner.
