9920 Up in smoke - 12.12.2005, 04:53 PM

Just got my 9920, 7xl combo on 14 cells, been running it a couple of days with no problems what so ever, took it out as normal but after 5 mins of use i noticed some really bad stuttering and pulled it over and by this time it was evident the controller was fried, aint got a clue why, set up properly (black jumper removed etc)

By the looks of it alot of internals where burnt and alot of smoke was let out, i removed some heatshrink to find signs of burns, but not much was evident its mainly in the middle of the two circuit boards.

Sent mike a email regarding the matter,

Thanks,

Forgot to add: the motor still works with the speed controller at a very slow pace,(less than 5mph)
