the buggy drives pretty amazing.... i wont knock for being high priced untill i get some laps around the track this weekend with it, because hey if it drives and handles that good, for a serious racer the price wont be so much the factor if the car is the best.....

btw that weight was also taken with additional DE racing front bumper/skid and rear skid, plus the mud guards, plus the wheel scrapers, i could also flip the battery around and make the lead ultra short....i sure it could lose a few more grams but not that much.

Since there is a chassis underneath, you could also remove material from the bottom of the battery tray.

yea the tray is really thick to clear the high mud guards... we dont planning on doing anything else to it though. Its plenty light, now we will just have to find a way to squeeze a slipperential in it and itll be slicker than donkey spit.

Can this battery tray be purchased from RCM? Does it go in the factory chassis holes?
