Yes that would be nice Don't know where to use them though if you can save some of the cells.. Too bad C ratings..
How can I send the packs to you and is the shipping costs expensive? Have to be honest, never shipped anything to abroad

Hmm intl shipping. I usually just use the Post Office and go with some sort of ground shipment. That is the cheapest, but it does take a while. I just wrap them up well in bubble wrap and make sure everything is a snug fit in the box. That keeps the weight of the package down, but keeps the packs safe.

Ok thanks.
Pm me your address. Have to explore those shipping options more closely.. I'll let you know when they leave from here.
Should I charge the lipos before I ship them?

I'm having a bad day... Here we go... I was checking the individual cell voltages of my Zippy-H 3S 5000 pack and I wasn't paying attention and touched my voltmeter tips together. Naturally it made quite a startling sound and a lot of smoke. It scared me so I instantly dropped it all on the counter. Upon further inspection, the middle two wires melted together, pulled out of the balancing tap about a third of the way (won't push back in), and melted the tap so that it won't plug into my balance board anymore...

Can you fix that? Could I have ruined the cell?

As long as you have separated the wires, I can definitely replace the balancer harness and apply shrink to the pack.

Ok. I was able to pull apart the melted insulation, so it's not like the actual wires fused together (goodness that would be horrible). How much do you charge for that? About how long is the turn around time?

Thanks

Should be able to get it correctly assembled this evening and get it back in the mail. Do you want a new deans plug and 13 gauge wiring? Not sure if you wanted to keep the sub 14 gauge wiring and the hxt deans knock off that is on it. I do not currently have any jst females... I do not use jst on anything so I never bothered to make adapters...
I would like new wire, that wire is a little wimpy. You can do whatever with the deans plug, there's nothing wrong with the current one that I know of. That's ok about the female jst adapter too... I might have found a solution.

And make sure to enjoy that pop! Thanks for doing this for me Linc.

No prob, lipo is done. New tap wires, new deans plug, new 13 gauge power wires. And new black shrink that does not look like it was applied by the blind...

I will drop it in the mail on my way home, priority of course. And thanks for the pop!!!

Awesome! Thanks Linc! Sounds like you liked my shrinkwrapping skills. Done with a lighter I might add... no wait. It was a propane torch.

Glad you liked that pop.. Make sure to take tax money with you! It's not exactlyfree. Thanks for getting it out fast too!

I got some labels made thanks to Overkill and I'll post a pic with the label on. Should look better then new now! Thanks again linc! I'll post some pics when I get the lipo and when I get the label on.

I am rolling on the floor reading that - ouch.... I must say that plastic shrink is like onion skin - it just vapourises if you apply too much heat on one spot. Using a blow torch ?? even my 2 cents gas lighter blows holes in the shrink. Have to use a hair dryer to ensure even shrinkage.

I figured someone with a dry sense of humor would like that!

I use a heat gun on low setting to shrink the packs. Heat the ends a bit to get them almost tight, the run sown the narrow sides, then the wider sides, then finish off the ends. Seems to produce the best repeatable results in that order...

Jessus, what on earth did you do to that battery?

I at least clean my batteries (just a baby wipe) on the exterior haha.

Yeah, looks like you have 1 bad cell. So you have 3 good 4000 cells, so I can make a 2s 4000 or 3s 4000 pack. (or a 12000 1s pack, but who wants that)
