I will have a charger sale ad posted soon. Selling alot of stuff, so if anyone is looking for a charger have a look.
Damn, you got my hopes up. Are you going to pick it up from work today? The main reason I wanted the 989 is because it charges up to 8s @ 10a. Thats perfect for charging my upcoming 1/5 lipos.

Actually, the 989 will charge 10s at around 3.6A max (near CC/CV threshold) due to the 120w power limit. Yeah it does 8s and 10A, just not at the same time.

Ok, so now I have a 610i, 606i ac/dc, and a 1210i. Most likely going to snag another 610i. Nice chargers, definately like them!

Linc, was just wondering you using the 610i or the 610i duo? I have the duo and its sweet atm for NiMH's. Also I think if you're gonna go for anything higher then 6s the duo may be an option for you or anyone, since as I'm reading the box it says and I quote, "*EOS610iDUO in SYNC Mode can charge two seperate, similar Lithium packs as a series-wired "flight pack" of up to 12s total! Or use solo Mode to charge two different packs on the seperate ports at the same time." That and once you setup the pack info on the memory it usually predetermines you charge rating, and if your ps doesnt have enough power the charge will adjust its power intake to limit the power used from your ps.

Just my 2cents about hyperion, definetly a good charger!

Hey, I actually have 2 of the 610i chargers, so I can link them to charge a larger than 6s pack.

Plus I have a 1210i too, and a pair of lba10 balancers that I can link to do the same thing. I do not plan to go over 6s packs, but will be using the chargers linked to charge and balance my 10s baja 5b packs (a 6s and 4s with the same spec cells).

I really like the hyperion chargers with built in balancers, work much better than a stand alone or charge thru setup.

with my Ofna 18 amp PS and Hyperion 0610i the max I could charge a 6s was @ 7.5 amps any higher amperage and it would shut off, From what I have heard the CC/Cv PSs dont like to stay on at their max output. I am not running 5s anymore so its not an issue but if it changes I wouldnt mind getting another single 0610i and running them in series to get the 500 watts.....thats a lot of charging power

I like to charge my packs @ 2c

I have 2 of the 0610is and use them to network charge 5S and 6S1P a123 pacs as wellas all my other lipos and a few NiMh pacs. I added the 2nd after the price went down and thinkfor my situation, made the right choice. I considered selling the one and getting a DUO, but decided to network charge instead - DUO is limited to 180watts per side. I charge my a123s at 10a, so for the 6S, thats 216watts, hardest I've pushed so far.

The last update, v2, added a new feature in user setup that allows you to chose 1C thru 5C as an available lipo charge rate. Hyperions supposed to have released lipos already that charge at those higher C rates. It was good to see Hyperion continue to support the 0610i - have been 2 firmware upgrades since the 0720 hit the shelves. I think they are still making them or there is still some in the pipeline, anyone thats run out has gotten more back in stock.
