Most would prefer a setting between 9.3-9.6v for more safety margin but if you have it set that high on a setup drawing lots of current with poor quality cells you will trip it real early. Even set to 9.0v if you pull the pack as soon as you hit the lvc and check the voltage it will prolly come back up to about 3.4/cell by the time you check it

i have set it at 9v and also to auto detect with the same results each time
