ok so apparently if you plug in a mouse to the front usb ports (the the ones connected to the mobo) then it will cause you problems lol...

my parents computer (the one that messed up) has a freakin terrible ps2 connnected mouse and so i plugged in my gaming mouse into the front 3 usb ports thinking it would be fine. well when my mom restarted the computer apparently it messed with something.

anyways thanks for your help arct1!! after reading that its probably a keyboard problem i thought what was the last things that i did to it... and i remmeberd about the mouse!!

so often troubleshooting dictates that your problem is relevant to the last thing done by the last user. If everyone started there, there would be a lot less questions
