WOW! I stirred up a hornets nest. ok maybe I'll drop the dual ideas. Is the EVX able to handle a lipo? I am just getting back into rc so lipo and brushless are still unknowns to me but you guys here have been helping to edumacate me.
Yes as long as you run a Lipo Voltage Cutoff (LVC) and only run 4s. THat should be plenty of power anyway. Novak makes some LVCs and you should run one 4s LVC instead of two 2s LVCs if you do plan to run lipos.

I'm new to lipo and only recently started researching them. Do you mean use two 2s1p batteries? How would you hook one of those Novak LVCs to 2 battery packs? What would be a good charger for lipos? I've got some more work done but going to wait till after I get my servos in and bodies painted and trimmed. Any tips on batteries, chargers and painting is much appreciated.

The LVC you hook up to your ESC and plug into your reciever. Anyone with soldering experience and an IQ north of mayonnaise can do it. I dont have a diagram but the instructions have one on them I believe. And yes, you would need two 2s1p batteries.
