Your medusa would really wake up on 3s, my 4800 on 3s eats my rusty alive.

I will spank a nitro any day...guaranteed. :)

but I am having a hard time finding a happy setup for both 2s and 3s.
A setup for 2 and 3s will be different. I know it's only 1 cell, but it's 50% more voltage.

If you want the cars to be equal in speed, you'll have to fine tune it in gearing.

Maybe I will get a smaller spur and try it with the 19t and 21t and see what it does as far as temps and stuff. I would just think if I was undergeared it would be really torquey down low or am I wrong?
Def undergeared then. Gear up. It sounds counterintuitive, but it will work. My medusa was undergeared at first, was slow and wouldn't wheelie. Geared up a few teeth, then it was a whole 'nother motor. Fast, mega-wheelies, very impressive. The motor needs a certain amt of load before it will make alot of power. Shouldn't really get warm either.

Thanks bud glad to hear that! For example today, I ran a whole 2s pack through. Temps were: ESC: 78, lipo: 108, motor: 138. Then I ran my 3s pack and temps were: ESC: 85, lipo: 98, Motor: 168.

I was keeping an eye on my temps the whole time. Disabling the punch did help some it seemed. I will now gear up to 19/56 and see. Once I get my 54t I will try that with the 19 and 21t pinion.

Thank you all for the advice. Have a nice weekend!
