I once modded a revo tranny to have a neutral instead of reverse on the 3rd ch(clutch) it was pointless for brushless application but for nitro it might be of some use? Red line rpms would come pretty fast.

I dont get the point of that though on a brushless setup. It would be useful on a nitro.

Here's my setup...
100% Aluminum from bumper to bumper (pretty darn heavy as is) but I'll probably add...
1/8 hybrids from fastlane machine.
1/8 hyper 7 spyder diffs
All aluminum gears in the tranny
Bigmaxximum Motor
Schulze 18.149 (149-200)amps
18 3700 NIMH Cells (Haven't bought my 2 11.1's lipo's yet)
16 tooth pinion & 72 tooth spur...(just for the pull-out)

Lol yeah I know... I got so much cash in the truck I'm too poor to afford the lipos for it! Lol. I'm on it... It's my next investment though, that's a fact!!
The only good thing is they weigh a ton compared to the lipos so they will help give me more weight for this pullout.

Also yes I'm in Charlotte Carolina... (Any locals are welcome to come watch)!
We are meeting up where we all drag race at to see each others trucks this Sunday. The pullout is scheduled for next Sunday if all goes well.

As for pulling stuff around (or pulling contests) a big factor is TIRES! Try to get the meanest tires you can find.
Are you pulling on the street? Dirt or grass?

A properly set up BL truck will outpull any nitro, no question.

6s would be nutty, but apparently 5s is the sweet spot for the BM.

Pullout Delay
My truck is so heavy and that motor is so strong I can no longer use plastic wheels. I strip a new rear wheel EVERY RUN!!
I need some good looking (LARGE) aluminum wheels so I can play for more than 10 minutes before I shred another platic wheel hub!
Any suggestions???

Also, I'm running my truck on 18 3700 cells. If you have the shculze and the Bigmaxximum u can run 6s with no problem. I'm about to get some lipos and I'm going 6s str8 out da gate! lol.

What size hex do you have? If it's only 14mm just move up to 17mm. I stripped a couple 14mm hexs with a stock revo 3.3, put 17mm hexs on my e-revo that has twice the torque and haven't had a problem

Maybe not, with lipo's he'd be lighter and just blow the tires off. Not to mention the NIMH will choke power to a manageable level to control

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
