will the 9918 be able to handle the lehner 1940?

As all of you know Christmas is coming up soon and I am expecting to get some money. One thing I want to buy would be the Lehner 1940 or 1930, 8 turns(1940 10t). I did do a search to see if the BK 9918 could handle the 1940/1930, and didn't really find what I was looking for. So can the 9918 handle the 1940/1930? Also how many cells can I run? Would a 20 to 1 gear ratio work well?

You getting a 1930 8t or a 1940 10t? The 9920 can handle both. I would think you would do it the other way on the turns. 1930 10t or 1940 8t I ran 12 51 gearing with 12 cells and 1/8 buggy diffs. I had it on a 7020 controller but it was a little much for hard running. I have a 9920 to replace the 7020 but just haven't done it yet. :D What kind of cell count are you going to be running?

The 1940/8 should be a great motor on 14-16 cells.(12-18 even).plus Mike has the 8 turn in the store so you won't have to wait for a month or so.

What kind of speeds are you looking for and what's the truck weighing(it's an e-maxx right?).

And yeah the 99amp warrior would handle it for sure.

The truck I'm running it in is a e-revo (custom). Id say it weight about 9 pounds. As far as speeds I was thinging about 45-50mph.

The 9918/9920 can handle either motor. I use a 1940/7 myself in my g-maxx, and a 1930/8 in the G2R currently.

Also, I have 6,7 and 8 turn 1940 motors, 8 turn 1930 motors and a couple 1950 motors in stock.

Go for the 1950/8 so you can get torque and speed at lower amp drainage.
