I've never had to replace a connector due to wear If you're bashing just cut off the switch when it goes bad, if you're racing get rid of it before you race unless you want to shell out the $ for a nice covered switch. I'd rather keep the cost of the ESC low and get a bad switch (life really does go on without it) than have to spend more for something I really couldn't care less about. If you want a switch, spend the money and do it your way.
