MBX-6...motor suggestions? - 05.04.2009, 05:40 PM

I toasted my Neu and have been trying to decide which motor to pick up. I was thinking of getting the 2650kv Neu-Castle motor. Is this any good on 4s? What pinion should I start with on this motor?

I am thinking of just saving up for a Tekin system, but my MMM is still going strong!

You could get a Tekin motor to run with you MMM. They have a much better selection of KV ratings. The T8's work fine with the MMM & later if you want a RX8, you can get one & you will already have a sensored motor to run with it.

2650 is a great motor, they are designed for 4s and run very well on it.

try a 12t pinion to start

Or you could tray a medusa 36-70 2300.

I run the 2650 in my Jammin X1 combo on 3s and 4s. It works great. Both 3 and 4s are geared for around 42mph. I get great performance and runtime on the track.
