Gearing on MLST2 - 05.04.2009, 03:52 AM

I just got a MLST2 with stock motors, and as you probably now, they are pretty slow. So I just ordered a Mamba micro pro 6800 combo.

Do you guys know if I can use stock gearing or I have to gear down.

I have 3 x 7,2v. nimh packs and 2 x 3s lipos to put in the little thing.

I also heard something about brushless motors are eating the diffs in the MLST2, do you know what would be the best solution here. Right know I have still diffs on front and back, and a ball center diff.

Here is a link to my car.

shim the diffs and they will be fine, the center ball diff help prevent alot of damage

you could use the stock gearing but its pushing it pretty hard, mine is geared 17/50 with the dual disk slipper and a 5600kv motor on 3 cell
