People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Those 7800s sound like winners to me. Can we have them ordered in higher voltage?

Sounds good, Thanks. I don't have the money for lipos right now, but I'd be in for a 5s or 6s pack in the future.

The 3s 5200mah packs will fit the ERevo. 3s 7800mah won't fit the compartment. :)

Just an FYI out racing a 30+ minute main the SMC 9000 packs are only good for about 22minutes MAX in a ERBE geared for 40. A 7800 pack would only be good for 19 minutes. This is HARD racing pushing truggy speeds or faster, obviously if you gear down or are a slow driver you can get a little more run time.

FYI 5000 packs last about 12minutes (hard racing)

Yea 9k's running for 22mins sounds about right I get 25mins out 2 3s 5k 20c zippys when tey are wired in parralel, so I'm not gonna complain about 22min runs, especially when you look at the power a 9k "28C" can put out.

BTW forgot to ask, you folks who have gotten smc packs whe nyou got them and charged them for the 1st time did you pay attention to your charger, cause I just got 2 smc hard case sportmax packs, 2s 4800 or 5k "28c" and when I went to charge them one of them was reading 5.9v on my hyperion but charged to something like 8.4v with 4918ma and balanced fine, the other pack was something like 6.8v but hit the hyperions 120min safety timer and got something like 4173ma, did I just get some odd packs or have you guys had similar issues?

The 4 SMC packs I have (2x hardcase 2s 4500 28C and 2x hardcase 2s 6000 28C) were all at the same voltage when I got them a few weeks ago. I think it was 3.8 or 3.9v per cell. I use, balance and charge them as 4s packs, and when I put them on balance charge before using them there wasn't even any balancing between the 2 2s packs, strange that yours were so much different in voltage.

Interesting. I see folks claiming 30mins under race condition with them. 2X 2S 9000mah is good for 133 A/hr, versus 2 X 3S 5000K in parallel is only 111 A/hr. In the post above Nocontrol says 25mins with his 2X 3S setup, so no reason a 2X 2S 9000mah setup shouldn't run right at 30mins if geared for the same speed.

Guess their still is no setup that has been able to make under "race conditions" 30mins and still be light weight enough (under 800 grams).
