I'm talking in BK Wanderer Windings, not feigao so it's a different 8L. But thanks

As far as motor mounts, I've looked at the aluminum angle, but im not sure if I have adequite room. I like the over the center diff idea, but not sure how sturdy it is.

Actually, the kv for the Feigao/Wanderer motors are the same, but BK rates their motors with a load, unlike Feigao (which is why there is a difference of more than 200RPM).

And I thought I had it figured out. Sorry for being a know it all!:L:

I'm still kind of shying away from the 9L. I don't feel like having any drivetrain problems without a center slipper. If i remember correct, mike always reccomended the 10L to people, tad milder yet still fast. Since I'm stuck with 12 cells, I feel like its apples and oranges.

Judging solely by rpm ratings, it'll be slightly faster than my 4200 on 6 cells (a 10L), but the weight might hinder that

I have 9L and 12 cells on my MBX Pro and it is perfect fit.
8L works great with 3LiPo with 12Cells it would overheat.
7XL and 12Cells is too heavy and slow, more cells helps but then your buggy like a brick :)

I think 9L works great up to 10lbs with 12cells and do not forget to install heatsink with clamp. I will also recommend opening motor first and fix motor shaft with 5mm shims to get rid of any freedom (feiago motors especially). Use epoxy to put cover back.

Artur

P.S. My buggy has 46 spur and 13 pinion

I've always had pretty good luck with my Lehner 2800xl on 12 cells in my Ofna 9.5, but it kills plastic spurs too easily with the center diff, gonna go with a slipper instead for gear longevity and not worry about the slight traction disadvantages with losing the diff, I don't race much and don't think I'd care anyway.

Yeah, I think i'll go with the 9L (side mounted for more durability). I will also probably start without a slipper, but i have found a few slippers out there, gs st1/dominator although they are very expensive. As of now, having enough trouble rebuilding the car.

If you will go with a slipper, I may be able to rig one up for you that uses popular Monster GT spur gears (mod1) or Revo gears. It is based off of the Revo slipper clutch, but is modified for 1/8 buggy use. I run one, and soon E-Traxxer will too (as soon as I get it built). The only problem would be with the bearings, as the shaft has a 6mm diameter. It might be worthwhile for me to look into some adapters to allow larger inner diameter bearings (larger than 6mm).

I can work on a new thread that will enclose all measurements, and I can show pictures of it. Gotta study for an AP Physics test now :C:.
