80mm medusa is a good motor for a truggy or MT. Had a chance to use one on my friend's RC8t. Wheel stands any time and runs pretty cool. Way overkill in a buggy though. Was desperate one race day cause my 36/60/1600 was back at medusa for a new rotor + bearings due to bearing failure so I borrowed the 80mm medusa and raced with it in my buggy. Yep Overkill, but I was surprised that it spooled up rather smoothly even tho it had considerably more static resistance to turning the rotor by hand. This threw me off slightly over the jumps as it had more motor braking effect than my 60mm medusa and as such I nose dived a few jumps till I got used to it. Might borrow it again and get a massive pinion for a speed run just for laughs. I calculated 134km/h on 6s with a 36/80/1900 and a 25t pinion on my buggy. That's 10t higher than I normally run. I have the pinion already, gotta check if my motor mount has enough movement to fit it on. LOL.

Overall medusa motors are good for the money but keep an eye on the bearings cause they're small. Front bearing collapsed on mine after less than 6hrs usage. I will strip it down and check/clean bearings every 1-2 hrs from now on.
