The hyper mini st is available in nitro and doesnt need any "upgrades" to be decent.. also it can be converted very easily if you wanted.. the parts are available. The hyper st is a better platform from what I've seen.. I watched a guy racing a .5 the other day.. he'd never keep pace w/ me and my hyper mini STe even w/ similar power plants.

I own 2 crt.5....one is my daughter's, and she is pretty tough on that truck and the only thing she has broken is and a-arm as she hit a rock doing 35. Mine has quite a few goodies on it, titanium pins, etc....and it has held up quite well w/a fair amount of hard abuse.

My daughter's truck has Mike's ext. chassis v2 kit where as mine has a home made chassis which is 1.25" longer that Mike's v3 chassis. All in all, I am v/pleased w/the crt.5

Me? If so I have very low gearing right now, I never changed the gearing when I changed tires from slash back to stock size tires. I also know I need heavier rear springs.

Dial her in.. we'll take um head to head soon, my old MM finally gave out (that was the problem the other night) so she will be getting repaired/replaced.

Are you going up to the pro-series event at CRC? Should be a blast, only 3 weeks out!! I wonder if they will have a 1/12 class, I plan on running my e-revo w/ the MT's and my 1/8 electric buggy. I'll drop the buggy though if I'm able to run my 8ight-t conversion w/ the rest of the nitro truggies... I was dropping the 2nd fastest laps of any driver there the other night (29 and change), if that dang battery pack would have stayed connected it would have been a different race. The thing came un-done 3x :(

I need to get better shocks all around on my .5 but we'll have to wait and see how the track is this week since they are redoing the track. I want to try making it to the pro series, at least to watch but not sure if I'll make it. I was doing pretty good with my truggy until I came in for a battery swap, 1/2 a lap later my battery came unplugged to because the esc came loose, got it going again and then the front king pin screw came out and my dogbone popped out, I limped it around for a finish at least. Hopefully it stays together this week, working on a new esc mounting and getting some red loktite. Still need the slipperential though!
