Update;

I have run the buggy at a couple of tracks over here in England. The first was a flowing dirt track and the second was this last weekend on a longer, all astro track. I have only run a couple of 5min heats as I have been running the Losi8 C6 at the same meets.

On the first track, the dirt, I was amazed at the instant torque even on a dusty track. I ran it in the warm up and did 6 laps and brought it in to check temps. The motor was warm, not hot, the batteries were above ambient but only just. I think it would have been fast than the nitro if I had the run time with it.

On the astro the electric braking was the most notable thing. I could brake very late and on turn in on some corners. the punch enable me to leap the flat top and the following jump until the wind got up and started blowing the flying buggy about. The motor was hot (I could hold my hand on it but I knew it was hot) the batteries were warm to the touch. This raised a few questions for me. Over here we run 5 min heats and 20 min mains with bump ups. With the heat the batteries generated I was not happy to put them back on charge for 20 mins. This means I'm going to need three sets of cells to race a full meet (I'm not good enough to A main off my quali).

Is the motor getting too hot? With it being a high grip track do I need to drop my gearing a tooth to reduce the heat loading?

I'm running 16/44, neu 1512, MMM and 2x 2s 5000 20(constant) in series. 40.69mph using BG's calc
