Finished w/the custom brackets....the rx is mounted behind the steering servo....I put it in for demo. purposes. The esc bracket was made to level the surface for the esc to sit on. The second batt. tray is a Tekno tray...what I did was CAREFULLY bend the existing motor mount supports so that the battery tray would be level.

1st. 2 pics. are of the finished mock up and the second 2 are what it will look like w/components.

The batts. pictured are not going to be used...just thought I would show off some of linc's handy work!

All in all, it should have good balance.

the red anodized stuff on the motor looks really cool with the orange! do you think you will have any problems with the prong thing in the middle that holds the battary tray on the right side bending? because on my revo that prong thing bent

if problems do occur, I will just make a whole new support for the battery. I figured that I would try this approach first .

Well, I have put a lot of time into planning. I only spent about 2 hours applying the mask, and about 1 hour cutting it. I used a marker to draw the designs on the outside, and I have at least 10 hours in it. Always erasing, redrawing, erasing, redrawing, erasing. redrawing until it looks just right.

I did paint the orange today, and tomorrow I will spray the silver and black. I hope to get the window trim done too, but that process takes about 3 hours.

Here's what my other bodies look like:

Body is finished! - 05.28.2009, 06:12 PM

I finished the body over the holiday weekend, it looks killer!

The silver is sparkly, I tried to show it in a pic, but the picture doesn't do it any justice.

BTW, if anybody wants me to paint a body for them, I'd be more than happy to (besides, I'm cheap)
