Hi-Impact Arms - 02.27.2009, 01:15 AM

Well, believe it or not, I found 2 sets of the highly coveted and extremely rare UE Hi-Impact arms. One of the single shock sets (SUPER RARE) and a pair of the double shock arms. Both for an STEAL. Unfortunately I don't have the cash right now, so I figured I'd do the nice thing and let one of you get em, cause I know some of you would kill for a set of these. If only I had the cash, ya'll would NEVER know of them till it was to late...

Anyway, just search for SuperMaxx on Ebay and they'll turn up, along with a set of setback arms, and some other really hard to find UE parts. $45 is a steal though...

Robin has been doing runs of a few things lately...single & dual hi-impacts, monoblocks, full knucklehead kits, and a couple other parts that I can't remember right now.

Even though a lot of people will tell you that the Maxx trucks are dead and not worth having anymore, or that since the Revo came out there is no reason to buy a Maxx, I still love the Maxx...I love the platform, the multitude of upgrades for it, everything avout it! And the thing I love most about it...the fact that it can be turned into a Supermaxx, the greatest incarnation of the Maxx ever created!

Not only did Robin's parts turn the Maxx into the best handling MT available, his parts made the Maxx look nothing short of amazing! I mean, you could just sit and stare at a Supermaxx all day long, like it was a beautiful woman...the designs, the lines, the curves, they are just sooooo sexy!

Anyway...even though I built, own, and run an extremely bad-ass BL Revo 3.3, and it will always be one of my favorite vehicles ever, I still like my Supermaxx(s) better (my old nitro & my new BL).

I am currently building a full-blown Supermaxx based on the Hardcore Racing titanium Mutant Maxx truggy chassis conversion. The chassis comes stock flat, with no front kick-up, and you are supposed to run rear bulkheads in the front, but I did not like that at all (why the hell did HCR do that?)...instead, I just bent the chassis up in the proper location and at the correct angle, and a new top-deck (aluminum prototype, final will be carbon-fiber) so that I could run front bulkheads, which is how HCR should have done it in the first place. Right now I have a set of 7075 GA bulks & braces, UE Knucklehead towers (DD wing-mount, Mugen MBX-5T wing-stay, XRAY 808 wing), UE Ultralite diff cases, and UE GenIV servo-saver on it, but I am looking for a nice VBS with Ti skids for it. I am also going to run a full UE Racer-X system with UE setbacks in the rear, UE single-shock Hi-Impacts in the front, UE Ti Racer-X hinge-pins, as well as UE/Ofna 8-Spider diffs (including center-diff), UE 6mm Ti CVDs, 4 UE Supershocks, UE Ti pillow-balls, UE Ti front turnbuckles, Dace 23mm hex-adapters, etc., etc.. I have a lot of the stuff already, but I want to find the VBS and Racer-X for it next, to get those before they become virtually impossible to find!

Wow, I went and made a huge post, heh! Sorry about that! Basically, all I wanted to say was that I hope that when the economy settles back down and materials drop in price, that Robin will start producing his core components again...VBS, Racer-X, EXT, Thunder, Lightning, GenIV, etc..

Here's a couple pics...

My SM as it sits now (old Ti top-deck sitting on new aluminum top-deck)...
