Anyone in Florida? - 05.26.2009, 05:31 PM

Ok, I just moved to Florida near Naples - is anyone down here? I'm trying to find the places to race and not having any luck.

I'm about 3 hours south east of Naples near Fort Liquordale. Sorry but I do not know of any tracks in that area.

Fort Myers might have some nice tracks or you could go to the East coast for the weekend and enjoy a nice track in Coral Springs near the Coral Square Mall (I guess that's what it's called).

The Coral Springs track is great, well maintained, but it is a bit of a trek, close to 3 hours from Naples. They have practice day Saturdays and race day Sundays.

Lutach you have the mall name right :)

lol It's been a long time since I went there lol. I used to live in a complex right by it. Another great track is in West Boca. Just take 441 to Yamato Rd. make a left and go until you see a park on your left hand side.

That track is ill maintained these days. They have built a dirt oval that sees some maintenance, but the back half (off road section) has holes in it large enough to swallow a truggy. I go there sunday mornings for bash sessions.

See you move and now you don't have free range of an RC track.. I hope this move was worth it

How is your Tekin combo working?

Go to the RCTECH web site and enter the forum... go to the Florida section. You can try, Farmers, DC, Machine's rc,B&B, etc. You should find some there!

Yeah, yeah - real funny. Dude, you'll be jealous when I have a new track built down here on clay with a sweet 40' table top.

Haven't hooked up the RX8 yet - still unpacking boxes and stuff. And all the funeral stuff has been dominating a lot of the family time too. I'll keep in touch though and send you some photos of whatever track I locate . . . or build

I went onto their track locator section and didn't have much luck - so there's another spot that's area specific then?

Yes go to the Florida section! You will see most that are worth a dam...
Build it, they will come! If you have an extra $10,000 you have enough to get a good track going..... Good luck!

No sweat dude - it was a bunch of stuff really. Keep in touch though and let me know what's going on in Boise. Is the driver's stand done yet?
