Where to get old E-Maxx body mount posts? - 05.26.2009, 05:02 PM

Hi!
I'm looking for the old round body mount posts the e-maxx (3906) had before they got switched to the new angled design that you still find on the new e-maxx (3905). It's part number #4914 (NOT 4914R!). I'm not able to find it in any shop, only the new ones which I can't use because I'm not using the stock shock towers.
So if anyone knows where I still can get the old parts, please tell me.
Thanks!

Jo

Sometimes I get lucky and find them on ebay.

Or if you are still running stock style towers on your 3906(which it sounds like) you can easily & affordable switch to the newer 3905 towers.

I believe they are pretty much a direct fit- plastic rods about 5mm in diameter with holes crossed drilled down their length.

Failing that, look for some plastic rod the same diameter, and drill your own holes using a pillar drill and 1-1.5mm drill bit. Some of this 3906 stuff is getting hard to find nower days...

If for some reason anyone needs the old style towers I have quite a few NIB laying around. I quit using them as I never bothered to open my eyes and see that Lst body posts would work

good thing then that the bumper mounts (which are the same on the new maxx) and the body mount posts (for which it seems that there is a replacement from losi) are the only 3906-parts left from the 3906-conversion
anyways, if I got it right, mike still had at least one set of the round posts in stock and put it in my package, which will hopefully get on it's long journey over here
